API Key for Akismet Plugin

    Hello

    I have hosted WordPress on my own domain (through WordPress.org).
    Therefore I do not have an API key in my profile.

    How can I secure an API key.

    Is the only way to get the key is to register on wordpress.com?

    Yes. Just create an account there…you don’t need a blog…and you can get an api key.
