Hi there, yes you can, but it will take a little custom code — but don’t worry! We have detailed docs on making that happen.
Start here for learning how to implement custom code on your site:
https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/adding-custom-functions-to-your-wordpress-website/
Then use this snippet to customize your label however you like:
add_filter('give_payment_gateways', 'my_custom_gateway_labels');
function my_custom_gateway_labels($gateways) {
$gateways['paypal'] = array(
'admin_label' => __( 'PayPal', 'give' ),
'checkout_label' => __( 'Credit Cards via PayPal', 'give' )
);
return $gateways;
}
So if I also wanted to change ‘Offline Donation’ to ‘Check’
would it be as simple as adding
$gateways['Offline'] = array(
'admin_label' => __( 'Offline Donation', 'give' ),
'checkout_label' => __( 'Check', 'give' )
Just to be really clear, here’s what the full code would look like:
add_filter('give_payment_gateways', 'my_custom_gateway_labels');
function my_custom_gateway_labels($gateways) {
$gateways['paypal'] = array(
'admin_label' => __( 'PayPal', 'give' ),
'checkout_label' => __( 'Credit Cards via PayPal', 'give' )
);
$gateways['offline'] = array(
'admin_label' => __( 'Offline Donation', 'give' ),
'checkout_label' => __( 'Check', 'give' )
);
return $gateways;
}
Thanks!
