I upgraded to SSL and my whole site is working fine but when I go to WP admin (which is renamed by iThemes Security plugin) I get page not found. Only when I remove turn OFF define( ‘FORCE_SSL_LOGIN’, false ); define( ‘FORCE_SSL_ADMIN’, false ); in my wp-config file do I get access to my WP admin again, but then my website goes haywire and doesn’t work properly with SSL. I need it to work with SSL *and* obviously be able to login to my backend admin side. It appears to be a problem with this plugin since it’s an infinite loop or something sometimes or not found, both errors happen…please help! Also I was going to upgrade to Pro iThemes Security but if I can’t resolve this I may need to disable and remove this plugin (I just don’t want to because it’s already renamed my database names and files, etc!). Thanks.

Was never able to figure it out, ended up scrapping SSL and going back to HTTPS. For anyone thinking about going to SSL when they already have a full grown WP site, don’t bother! It’s a nightmare and full of bugs and issues. If you are just starting a website, it’s probably best to get your SSL first, then grow your site after that, you won’t have issues trying to introduce SSL later.
