Support » Plugin: Easy Testimonials » Bug when adding new testimonial after setting testimonial to "Pending Review"

I created a testimonial, but instead of selecting “Publish” I set it to “Pending Review”. Then I clicked the “Add New Testimonial” button at top of page.

The new testimonial post didn’t clear the Name field or the shortcode field – it still displayed the data from the previously Pending one. That means that there are now 2 testimonials with the same “unique” shortcode number…

I cleared those field and published the new testimonial, but the duplicate shortcode came back. But when I went to the main list of Testimonials, that one did not exist, only the pending one.

I thought I could work around that issue by making a review Pending, then going to the main Testimonial list and adding a new testimonial from there, but that just broke everything; the Add New page does not even load.

    Hey CornflowerBlues!

That’s crazy sounding! I haven’t been able to reproduce this, in testing (nor have I heard this report yet, from elsewhere.) That doesn’t mean it isn’t happening to you, though!

Can you let me know what other plugins you are using on your site, and what theme you are using?

Also, can you let me know what method you used to create the testimonial? Was it just the Add New interface inside WordPress?

When you say you “broke everything” can you describe what you see? Are there PHP errors, or anything else occurring?

    Best,
    Richard
