• I have a dedicated server, I have Plesk (Like cpanel but for Windows server), I registered my site through a domain registrar company and have the A record pointing to my dedicated servers IP, as well as the nameservers of my dedicated server updated for my domain name.

Without WordPress it loads a connection to my dedicated server and loads the default Plesk page. If I install WordPress on my first Plesk domain name (the name of my hosting company for my dedicated server) it works fine for that site.

If however I install it under my own website, it immediately breaks the site and I cannot access the admin backend of WordPress. I’ve been trying to find a solution online for a couple days but have yet to, can someone shed some light on the situation?

  • To make it clear… lets say you have domain called abc.com and it working perfect with default plesk landing page right?

    Regarding this:
If however I install it under my own website, it immediately breaks the site and I cannot access the admin backend of WordPress

    — what you mean by this? you trying to install in directory like this abc.com/wordpress?

Please let me know these details so I can figure it out.

    Hi,

Where is your “own website”? your own dev computer, a vps, another instance on same cloud?

Like pixel says, please provide a few details,
