    Hello,

Love the plugin! Our client loved it so much that they asked I replace the site search with the table search. That would eliminate the site search which is fine with them.

So My question is can I simply replace the search form in my site with the table search? I believe if someone searches and they are not on the page with the TablePress table then no results would be found.

Any suggestions on how to accomplish this would be appreciated.

    thanks,
    Anthony

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I’m afraid that this is not possible, sorry. The site search searchs posts in the database, while the table search can only search the data that is shown in a table on that particular page.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Ok,

Could a programmer handle this? What skills would they need?

    thanks,

    Hi Anthony,

well, one could probably emulate this, by doing a background AJAX search whenever a new character is typed into the search field.
Most likely, that would however show a bad performance, I think.

I this something you would be willing to do professionally? We could be flexible on the parameters if you have a work around idea.

    thanks,

    Hi Anthony,

no, sorry, as I’m not a professional web developer, I don’t have time to work on such projects, as my regular day job already keeps me busy enough.

    Regards,
    Tobias
