Backup/Migrate large file size website

    I’ve have two blogs that I was working on recently that were over 5GB. I assume this is because they are using plugins like WP Smush Pro that have optimized photos leaving the large original file in the uploads folder.

    My problem was tools like BackupBuddy just timed out after 4GB, so I couldn’t use it to back &/or clone to a different server.

    What is best practice here? I am not comfortable with websites being so large in media size if it’s not required.
    Are there other tools besides BackupBuddy that will efficiently handle large websites across to other servers?
