• I have installed the Netcam/Webcam Live Stream plugin in WP 4.3.1 and activated it.

Q: Is the Plugin supposed to work with this version of WordPress? If it’s not then that is my problem as I cannot get an image to appear.

The camera is a CISCO – PVC2300 and WVC2300 Internet Video Cameras with Audio

The webcam image can be viewed when I enter the Static IP address (in the Safari web browser), Username and Password.

I created a Draft Page and pasted in the SHORT CODE as suggested in the Plugin changing only the URL to this IP address and the required PORT (:1024) 110.143.164.215:1024. Entered it after the “http://
    [netcam-live url=”http://cam6284208.miemasu.net/snapshotJPEG?Resolution=640×480&Quality=Clarity” refresh=”2000″ width=”100%”]

I am confused about the next part of the CODE (snapshotJPEG).
Q: What do I put in there? The file types identified in the Camera Software are MPEG-4 & MJPEG. Q: Is snapshot a generic image name that I need to change (to what?) or do I leave as is. If I leave as is the image still doesn’t appear.

I cannot get the image to appear in the WordPress preview page. All I get is the word, Netcam in the top left corner and a question mark in the centre of a square with borders which I suppose is where the image should be.

Advice would be very much appreciated.

    Hi nordicned.

    – My plugin works with WP 4.3.1 – my website has the same version with a working demo page:
    http://blocknot.es/home/testing/wp-netcam-plugin/

    – If your netcam requires authentication you could have problems to public the live stream because it is protected. You can try to pass it in the URL, but it will work only if the device support Basic Authetication
    ex. http://username:password@netcamip/jpeg_url

    – The last part of the URL depends on your device, it is usually different from brand to brand. You need to find the correct JPEG URL of your device (looking for online, looking in the manual of the device, contacting the producer, etc.)
