• I am using this theme from a few months now (2015/04).
I was very pleased at the begining and I had the same idea as most people.

But as the time passing, I starded to have more and more 500 errors.
This morning I decided temporaly to stwitch to an other one and check. So, I switch from this theme to an more standard wordpress theme (Twenty Ten).
No more 500 error withdrawing any plug-in, so….

It is a pity, I haver to find a more server friendly theme and may be a little faster theme.

But the way, I have similar problemes with an other site using Spacious theme.

I was planning to go for commercial theme. It is ower.

    Hi JacPica,

Generally, 500 error generally refers to 500 Internal Server Error meaning there is something wrong with Server or code at Server.

Did you try contacting your hosting service provider and check on what was causing the issue? What did they say about the issue? Did they say it was something specific/function/code that was causing the issue?
Here are few things we would suggest.

    • Contact the hosting service provider and try to locate the error log files (Apache or PHP error logs). This files may contain the reason that is causing this issue.
    • If you are using a .htaccess on your site, it may be interfering with the web page you are trying to load into your browser. Please double check the .htaccess configuration. Any syntax errors will cause a 500 Internal Server Error message to be displayed instead of your website.
To confirm whether a misconfiguration .htaccess is the cause of the 500 Internal Server error, either remove or rename the .htaccess file temporarily and then try to reload the page.

There may be many reasons that can cause this. Of that, theme’s coding would have the lowest chance to cause the issue. If the theme was the cause we would certainly have got feedback from our users. It’s been more that 1 years since the theme was released and we haven’t got such feedback till now.

Can you please tell which host you are using? We will check with that hosting service. Also, our themes are developed in WordPress Theme Review standards so it is rare that the theme might be causing any issue.

Also, you said this morning you switched the theme. If the errors are from other reasons then it is very likely they will arise again. If it does, please contact the hosting service provider to find the exact reasons.

    Thanks.
