    Help,
I installed the plugin a while ago with no issues. Just today I received this error code when accessing the site: http://www.whitneybilodeau.com

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /home/whitneyphoto/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-simple-firewall/src/common/yaml/Spyc.php on line 512

    I cannot access wp-admin either

I renamed the folder wp-simple-firewall to wp-simple-firewall_2 and I can see the site however I still cannot access wp-admin
    Please help 🙁

    Thank you

Just replied to the other thread – delete the folder and reinstall the plugin. Your files are probably corrupted.

Sorry for the double threads – I will revert to this one from now on. Feel free to delete the other thread, apologies.

Paul, thank you for the response, I have deleted the entire wp-simple-firewall_2 folder and I still cannot access wp-admin.

Then the problem isn’t the firewall plugin…
what happens when you try to access it?

i just get a white page with nothing on it. the only error message applied was from simple-firewall

Could you review your error_log files? If the simple firewall plugin is removed, then there is no code running. Something else must be going wrong. The error log file will help you find it…

I will try, I am not sure where to look for the error logs, reading up on that now.

You seem to have many different areas where your files are incomplete, including your wordpress includes. Reinstall your WordPress core files and all your plugin files.

    Paul,
It seems that there is quite a bit of malicious content on the site. I had installed wp-simple-firewall about 2 months ago. That is the only change that occurred on the site. It was running fine until about 5 days ago where I cannot access the wp-admin page. I found the wp-config file had a ton of extra gibberish on it, I will have to manually go through the site and look at the other files. I will let you know what I find.
    Bruce

So what turned out to be the problem, Bruce?
