• I’m trying to squeeze out that last bit of optimization. Overall things are good – but now the infamous Google “Above the Fold” question has reared its head.

When I turn on minify, auto mode complains about filename length. So changing to manual mode, using the help wizard, I see some very strange names being requested, such as:

    wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js,qver=1.11.3.pagespeed.jm.zixJPNMRNN.js

then I get “file not exist” errors. I am using nginx with the pagespeed module.

  • Not sure how the pagespeed module works but couldnt u just have it include the standard jquery.js (which is currently 1.11.3) file that is part of the wordpress package? Not like the pagespeed alteration (your link above) are going to do anything special beyond minifying it (which w3tc would be doing anyway).
