Thank you for your reply and my apologies for the delay in coming back to you but I was working on another project.
Whilst you can embed the portfolio in a page, you can also visit the project pages to view like a blog, i.e.
http://bluesky.rawdemo.co.uk/waving/
You can then select the projects to go view them, but you will notice that the path says /waving/. I’d like to change this to /portfolio/ because this is what we are calling on the site itself so it will make more sense to the visitor.

I faced the same problem.
Found solution:
Open this file: waving-portfolio/includes/waving-portfolio-post-type-registrations.php
find:
`’rewrite’ => array( ‘slug’ => ‘waving’, ), // Permalinks format
Replacing waving with word you want. This will change the permalink.
Now go to settings>permalinks just click save. This will flush permalinks and new links will work 🙂

I am running another portfolio plugin in conjunction with waving portfolio.
1. My portfolio is located on this page of my site amateurhour.tv/aha
2. Each portfolio item has its own page e.g. http://www.amateurhour.tv/aha-gold/profile-dan-kelly_ngv_280216/
3. Can i rename PORTFOLIO ITEM at the top of these pages?
4. Can I make PORTFOLIO ITEM redirect to amateurhour.tv/aha rather than the portfolio archive url of http://www.amateurhour.tv/aha-gold?
i tried to make the portfolio slug just aha but it kept breaking the portfolio as its the same url as my website page. Please help! Ta 🙂

I had indeed changed the slug , but I could not change the permalink destination ;
I never thought “to flush” permalinks from trimmings .
