# 2.6 Serious Bug

 * After updating to 2.6 it has a major bug where it error’s out trying to write
   a new post. The error is “cannot open the interent site Post-new.php file”. I
   have loaded the whole package twice now and still the same error. Can anyone 
   shed light on this problem. The file premissions are fine and the file exists.
   I’m problably going to go back to something that works unless someone has a work
   around for this. I think there needs to be a little more beta testing before 
   releases are launched :-).

 * what browser are you using that it contains typographical errors?
 * Further to that, **P**ost-new isnt a file name. See the caps?
 * file names are case-sensitive.
 * A copy and paste of the real error would be very helpful, the browser you are
   using, and the url of the blog.

 * The problem appears with IE only and not Firefox. The error in IE is “Cannot 
   open the Internet site file post-new.php. I have tried everything from deleting
   temp files, templates, cookies, etc.. in IE and it still fails. Why would this
   only effect IE and not Firefox? WP V2.5 worked fine…

 * Another problem atleast in Firefox is, it doesn’t save the podpress audio file
   you select and show it. Is this another bug with 2.6? How can I go back to 2.5?
   this is not good news.

 * I have got the same problem!
 * With Firefox everything works fine. But with IE 7 I cannot open post-new.php 
   and also the file to edit posts.
 * In the German forum, nobody could help me with this problem!
 * I think it must be something with IE 7????
 * P.S. —- The famous 5-minutes!! I am trying to solve this and some other problems
   I had with 2.6 (categories disappeared, newgengallery did not work) since almost
   one week!!!!! ;-/

   in the meantime a great Computer hero really offered a solution!!!!!
