You write “You can optimize for free 25MB of images (about 250 images) every month.”

You also write “Do not waste your time resizing and optimizing your images in Photoshop. Imagify takes care of everything!”

So you’re assuming the average image – without any prior optimization – is only 100KB?

Don’t you know that phone camera photos are often 10-20MB or more? That’s more like 1-2 free image optimizations.

    Am I missing something?

    Hi @philraymond!

This is Joseph from Imagify, and I’ll gladly assist you here!

You are correct that in some cases, our free plan will not be sufficient. We do our best to offer estimates, but depending on each individual situation, more or fewer images may be optimized within the 25MB of optimization quota.

For those that require more, we have monthly, annual, and one time packages that can handle more images at higher resolutions. These plans can be viewed here https://imagify.io/pricing/ for anyone interested.

We offer these paid plans because we use our servers for the optimization of your images so the process doesn’t bog down your website’s server.

Please let me know if you have any other issues or questions, I am more than happy to assist!

    Best regards,

    Joseph

Thanks for confirming. I went with ShortPixel instead. I love WP Rocket, so wanted to stick with you, but ShortPixel’s pricing is based on images rather than file size so it makes a lot more sense. Thanks again!
