• Hi guys,

As mentioned in this thread , i’m having exactly the same problem with Mega Menu & Polylang plugins.

There is no CSS loaded with Polylang, but it works if not activated.

The site is currently on a dev plateform, so I can’t provide any link.
I’m using Polylang v1.7.11, Max Mega Menu 2.0 and Max Mega Menu – Pro Addon v1.3.6.

I tried to manually clearing the cache (under Mega Menu > Tools) but it doesn’t fixe it. I’ve also tried to use the 3 different ways to generate the CSS (admin.php/file systeme/ wp_head) but it doesn’t work neither.

    Thanks.

    Hi Brice,

The development version has been updated a few times since I posted on that other thread. Please delete v2.0 and install a fresh (stable) copy of 1.9.1 by going to Plugins > Add New, search for ‘mega menu’. The latest fixes for PolyLang are in 1.9.1.

I have just tested with PolyLang (latest) and MMM (v1.9.1) and it’s working OK here. Please can you put your site online somewhere and send access details through http://www.maxmegamenu.com/support ?

I’m afraid I can’t offer much help without being able to see the issue as I’m unable to replicate the problem here.

    Regards,
    Tom

    Hi again,
I think I just found the problem.
Actually, flushing the caches with the plugin’s option doesn’t work for me.
I’ve found some CSS files in the uploads\maxmegamenu folder and manually delete them.
After that, the plugin recreate new files and it start working (for the first time).
I’ve setup some parameters then saved the “default theme”, but nothing change within the CSS files, so I manually delete them (again), and it works (new CSS files like style_fr_fr.css and style_en_gb.css are well created).
I’ve check the access & written rights of the folder and this is not the problem, I’ve deasable all my plugins (exept Polylang) and it doesn’t work neither.
I’ve switch the theme with a default Tweenty XX and it doesn’t work until Polylang is installed.
I can’t put the site online because it is a customer project.
Hope you would be able to help me how to fix this.
    Thanks.

    Regards

After some additional tests, the default style.css file is correctly updated (modification date confirmed that) after saving the MMM theme settings.
Nevertheless the CSS files with the lang in the name doesn’t seem to be updated. That’s the reason why I can see any change when Polylang is installed.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Brice,

    Thanks for the extra info.

I’ve spent the last couple of hours refactoring/simplifying how the CSS is cached and regenetated. Please could you try installing the development version again?

    Tom

    Hi again Tom,
Thanks for your time and eactivity, it works.
    Cheers.

    Excellent, thanks for confirming.

By the way, the version you’re using includes the ability to mix & match widgets and menu items within mega menu panels (in previous versions widgets would always be output on a new row after the menu items). There are big changes behind the scenes to make this happen. If you have any issues with the order of menu items or widgets within mega menus please let me know 🙂

    Thanks
    Tom

Thank you for this thread, it solved my problem too.

Is the ability to mix widgets and menu items only available in pro version or in free version too?

I’m using the latest development version 1.9.1.

    Hi Mikko,

It seems like the development version has been updated since then, you should see v2.0 as the version number. Please try reinstalling it a fresh copy of the dev version.

    Regards,
    Tom

I downloaded the latest development version. CSS cache works fine now, but there is a bug in menu rearrangement functionality.

Setting number of columns doesn’t work as I expected. For example, If I choose 8 columns, I get four. And if I choose 4 I get 2 columns.

    Hi Mikko,

There is now a new version (2.0-beta1) which fixes the column issue, thanks for the report!

    Tom
