hydrophyte,
does yout theme have a sidebar.php?
Unless it’s a wide narrow image, there currently isn’t much space immediately above your sidebar before you’re getting into the area that will eventually be occupied by your page menu.
There is however, quite a lot of free space in your header – on the upper right. How big an image are you thinking of using? Could you upload the image to your theme’s ‘images’ directory (you may have to create the sub-directory yourself)?
thank you!
i haven’t made it yet, but it will be a small, short rectangle, maybe 75 X 150px or so.
there is a /sidebar.php, as well as several variations, including /sidebar-page-bottom.php, sidebar-subsidiary.php and so on. could /sidebar-single-insert.php be useful for this?
while we’re here, if you have a moment, my image upload is also broken. i get an error message indicating that it can’t write to its default directory. i started a thread:

i was moving folders around some and just didn’t know how to update.

never mind my image upload problem. they helped over there and now it’s fixed.
can anybody guess where i can figure out the width of that sidebar, so that i can PhotoShop a logo graphic for it? i don’t care to change it’s dimension–it looks good as is.
any ideas anybody? it’s pretty sleepy over at themeshaper.
