• This isn’t a support request, and this may not be an appropriate use of this forum. If so, apologies and genuflections, but I figure it’s better here than opening a trouble ticket with “official” support.

Here’s the tl;dr version of a feature request: Please consider adding Medium as an option to Jetpack’s Publicize module (with status and licensing granularity, please).

Here’s the long version from an article I wrote last week

Medium recently released an application programming interface (API) for its publishing platform. This allows desktop and mobile apps — as well as other publishing platforms — to communicate with Medium programmatically.

On the WordPress side, Medium has released a WordPress plugin that enables WordPress Posts to be cross-published to Medium.

I’ve never published on Medium, and I remain hesitant to do so (Jamie Talbot’s WordPress plugin notwithstanding) because I want to retain information authority on my work and, for me, the best way to do that is to own the platform, hardware, and network upon which it runs.

    Purty please?

That’s actually something we started looking into, but we haven’t released anything yet. That’s good to know that some people would be interested in such a feature, thanks for the feedback!

Keep an eye on the Jetpack blog, we’ll announce it there whenever we make progress on this.
