  • Yes you did. You tried to install the W3 Total Cache plugin. I did too and my site also went down with an error on screen.

    To solve the problem: remove the plugin by FTP, remove the cache folder in the wp-content folder and recovered the .htaccess file. The site works back again.

    Sometimes a plugin doesn’t work with a theme or other plugins. That’s why developers want to know all the plugins and theme’s you have on your site, so they can check for bugs.
