• I’d like the ability to Bulk Edit a custom field. Anyone know how I could do this? Do you know what code I’d need to edit and what would I need to add? Alternatively, is there a plugin available to do this?

  • What does bulk edit a custom field mean? To see all the rows for all posts with the same custom field key at once? Is this an ongoing need or an occasional need? If occasional you can do this in phpMyAdmin with a simple SQL query. If that makes sense and you need assistance, write back.

Yes, on the edit posts page I’d like edit a set of custom fields on a recurring basis using the Bulk Actions drop down menu for a selected set of posts.

When you select a post and select edit from the Bulk actions drop down the only fields you can change are the category, tags, author, comments, status, pings, sticky.

I’d like to add a custom field to this view.

    How can I do this?

    Hi

That would be a quite complicated process that would require someone knowledgeable in developing WordPress plugins to create one with that functionality. Unless you can find one already on the WP plugins site.

Right now stvwlf’s suggestion would be the way to go:

If occasional you can do this in phpMyAdmin with a simple SQL query
