I recently ran it on a new site. Apparently it had already run once, so instead of looking at the images and saying ‘ok, I did those, will leave them alone’ it created new versions of all the various versions. So now I have 3 of the exact same file for every variation of EWWW. Example…

    DJI_0099-300×225
    DJI_0099-300×225-300×225
    DJI_0099-300×225-300×225-300×225

Do you have a recommended batch process to remove all the duplicates?

No I don’t, and I don’t think EWWW created them in the first place.

Gotcha. This would be a first. I am thinking it is a db issue, or another plugin. The site I am referring to was a very messy install. If you have the ability to delete my post feel free to do so. I am going to run EWWW and see what happens when attempting to optimize everything again.

Thank you for the quick response.

Yeah, keep an eye on the bulk optimize and see what images it processes. I would think those are probably accidental generations from another plugin, and will probably not all be optimized. EWWW can only do the sizes registered in the metadata database table unless you’re using Scan & Optimize, then it just grabs the whole folder.
