• Hi there, I had used WordPress before to make my website, which all turned out fine, I can log on and all that.

But I’ve been away for about a year or so and have forgotten all about how it worked.

So now, I have a [website]/wp-admin that I can perfectly log into, yet I don’t have WordPress installed on my computer, nor do I have Filezilla linked to it on this computer (I used to make it on my laptop).

I tried following the guide on how to install WordPress but I basically already have all that covered.
Where do I go from here? I am quite confused at the moment.

  • 1. You do not need WordPress installed on your computer unless you are doing local design/development work.

    2. You need to find out your FTP login details from your host. They should be able to help you setup FileZilla to connect to your site.

What exactly are you trying to do?

I am trying to figure out if I have everything set up properly.

And if so, I want to make big changes to my website.
Using a new theme and all that.

But like I said, my knowledge of WP is back to 0 (from 1).
I’ll look into those FTP details.
    Thanks Keith.
