I have a website http://www.tesolifestyle.com. I have the publicize app configured in Jetpack and I’m able to get my posts to show up on Twitter no problem. When I go to add my Facebook connection it gives me an error saying

“You are using Facebook as a Page
To continue, you’ll need to switch from using Facebook as TESOL Lifestyle to using Facebook as Brandy.”

I don’t want to share posts on my personal profile, I want to share them on my business page. I know this is possible because it has been working up until about a week and a half ago.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

If you want to use Publicize with a Facebook page, you’ll need to use a Facebook account that has a Profile with administrative rights to the Page. A Page-only account can not be used with Publicize.

I hope this helps clear things up! Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Hi Ryan,

Thanks for the reply. I have a personal Facebook page and a Facebook page for my blog, TESOL Lifestyle. I have had the Facebook Jetpack in working order using only my blog page since I started my blog over a year ago.

Then all of the sudden it gives me this:

To continue, you’ll need to switch from using Facebook as TESOL Lifestyle to using Facebook as Brandy C. (my personal page).

I don’t understand this switch after it was working fine all this time.

I thought I had admin rights to my blog Facebook page.

    Thanks again for your help.

That message will indeed appear if you’re logged in with your Page instead of your personal account. No worries though, even if you’re logged in with your personal account, you can still link Publicize to your Facebook Page as long as you’re an admin on that Page.
