After several months of testing BPS, I can happily report that this plugin is actually very good and I highly recommend it.
It does take a little time to get used to, but once you do, it´s easy as 1,2,3.
Although I use other plugins to protect my sites. BPS is my #1 tool of protection now. If I had to choose between one of them, I will disable the other security plugins and just keep BPS.
Why? Simply because I believe BPS is the plugin that provides the best security.
These are the great features I love about BPS:
1. It provides one of the best, if not the best, security through htaccess that you can find. I really like that you can introduce your own htaccess code directly within the plugin. And you can also manage and view your htaccess directly from the plugin itself.
2. The auto-quarantine feature is a must. This excellent feature, in combination with the htaccess protection, is the ultimate line of defense against injection of malicious code/files. ARQ is simply a system that captures any injection of malicious code or files, and directly quarantines them. This way, you can have the peace of mind that even if someone manage to break your security, the malicious code/files won´t contaminate your site because ARQ will not allow it (it will put the malicious code/files on a quarantine, where later on you can decide what to do with them)
2. The security log provides a very good view of all what´s happening and all that is being blocked on your site.
4. It doesn´t create conflicts with your site.
5. It doesn´t slow down your site. On the contrary, I think the BPS caching code actually speed up you site considerably, thus making unnecessary the use of W3 cache or super cache.
6. Support for this plugin is beyond excellent. Edward, the plugin developer is always (I mean, literally always) there to help you with any issue that it arises. With him covering your back, you absolutely don´t have anything to worry about if something goes wrong (and this never has happened so far)
Considering the excellent level of security, the amazing and superb support, and the very affordable price (For a 60$ one time fee, you can use it on any site you want!, it can´t get any better than that!!) this plugin provides the best bang for the buck in the market.
Simply put, no other security plugin will offer so much for so little.
Seriously, do yourself a favor and get this plugin now!! You can´t go wrong with it.
