BuddyPress is a Rockstar!

BuddyPress is great for so many use cases. Many people just think of it as a FaceBook Clone. But that’s so limited. If you understand the possibilities it blows your mind. It’s interesting for every site interacting with users in any way.

It can be used for any kind of user generated content.

From a vendors marketplace to a community about kittens. Any kind of directory or user driven content related site.

Also BuddyPress is all about Groups. Use it as a learning system, Virtual ClassRoom or to build your next awesome Intranet.

It gives you all the tools to create an intranet with tools like DropBox, Messaging, Activity Streams and so much more. The limits are your ideas.

There is still a learning curve, but once you understand the components. You can do really serious stuff with BuddyPress.

In my opinion it’s not about using all BuddyPress components to build the next Facebook. It’s about using the components which make sense for you.
