Donations Stuck On Pending

    The website I developed (parallax pro on genesis framework) is running the newest version of the Give plugin.

    All the donations we have received so far are left on pending transaction in the plugin but our paypal account shows that the donations went through. I then have to manually click change the status to complete. I have already clicked Disable Paypal IPN Verification.

    There have also been some issues with receipts showing up for individuals but first I want to get the pending status fixed.

    HI Daniel,

    If you review our Documentation on the PayPal Standard Gateway, you’ll see mention of the IPN setting:
    https://givewp.com/documentation/core/payment-gateways/paypal-standard/

    Some hosts don’t handle that aspect of the PayPal API very well, so we’ve made sure there’s a backup method. Try that and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Matt,

    We already have disabled the IPN verification but our most recent donation did the same thing. Is that the only setting that I should be looking at?

    Yes, in Give that is the only place where that happens. And you’re totally certain that the transaction is COMPLETE in PayPal?

    The other thought I have is you have a security plugin that’s blocking that information, or your host has a security setting. If it’s a security plugin, just try disabling it and doing a $1 donation to PayPal to test immediately.
