    Hello,
I’m having an issue with filenames, including german umlauts (like ä ö ü).
The filename of the original file is for instance: test_ä.jpg
The filename of the saved file is test_%C3%A4.jpg
The file exists on the server with the name test_%C3%A4.jpg but cannot be opened via http link.

The umlauts get somehow renamed with the utf-8 hex value (as i found here: http://www.utf8-zeichentabelle.de/)
The regular wordpress media uploader ist working fine with umlauts (just keeps them, links are working)

I tried on two (german) webservers with the same outcome.
Has ayone an idea how this issue could be fixed?

    Thx,

    Jan

    Hi

I’ve been sick with the flu so this has been delayed.

Update 1.36 should fix the issue you are having with the filenames, could you test it and let me know.

    Thanks
