• I am able to find information about the topic but the relevant action (like links) is not on my dashboard and therefore I can’t follow through the steps.
    (website theme is Traffica)

http://www.socialconnect.com.au (no idea what is best to write here as website/wordpress is not yet live)

    My key questions are:
    – How you change/move icon buttons and link them to information
    – How do I get social media into dashboard under Theme options. Because it isn’t there i can’t set up my social media icons
    – How do I link my Blogs together across the website
    – How do I delete/reduce the WordPress detailed writing/information at the bottom of my website?

Is there anyway I could speak with someone as i find the information provided not useful for a novice like me?

  • Hi, support is not offered via email, Skype, IM, phone etc. Only in the forums, however I will try my best to help.

Your first question – You can upload images into the text editor, and then link them to whatever URL you like. You can also add custom HTML if you click the ‘Text’ tab at the top of the editor, so here you can add <button> elements. There are also plugins available on the plugin repository that add buttons to the text editor, that let you insert certain items to the text, for example https://wordpress.org/plugins/forget-about-shortcode-buttons/ so it is worth looking for an appropriate plugin.

Your second question. If all you need to do is add links to your various social media accounts, then you can just add this as a widget. Would it be possible for you to explain exactly what you want here?

Your third question – Am I correct in thinking you are wanting to add ‘Previous’ and ‘Next’ links to your posts? If so, you may want to take a look at https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-post-navigation/, or this could be built directly into your theme.

Your fourth question – Are you referring to the text in the footer of your site? If so, this is part of your theme, you can remove this by either modifying the correct template file in a child theme, or hide the text with CSS. Does that help?
