I want comments to be allowed for blog posts on a site I am managing and the comment fields are not displaying.

The site is http://www.simplepinmedia.com and the posts are located on http://www.simplepinmedia.com/blog/.

The site is using WordPress 4.3.1 and the theme is Thesis 2.1.

I checked “Settings>Discussions” as well as the “Blog” page and individual posts and the “Allow Comments” flag is checked on them all.

The “Post Comments” box is also inside the “WP Loop.”

I am not sure what to do next. Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated!

  • For existing posts and pages you may need to check the ‘Allow comments’ option after hovering over the post/page title and choosing the ‘Quick edit‘ option.

I have already checked that and they are all set to allow comments.

I’m having the same issue, with any theme, default ones or 3rd party. No comments box showing despite setting all WP settings correctly.

    I figured it out.

Just in case anyone else with Thesis 2.0 runs into the same problem, if you navigate to ‘Thesis>Skin Content’ you can click on the ‘Select Content to Display’ dropdown and select ‘Comments.’

From here you can click the check box that allows you to show comments on posts or pages.
