    Hello,

I am having a problem with a website, I am using the last wordpress version 4.3,1, Academica Theme and Wp super cache plugin.

I recently added 2 new posts and did some text modifications on the site, then when I open the site on my phone and my computer I can see the changes.

However once I closed google chrome (last version) and open it again, my site appears without the new posts and the latest changes.

I deleted cache files from google chrome and wp super cache.

I tried on others computers, sometimes the site appears with the new post, sometimes not.

My changes appears only when I connect to the dashboard, then the site is showing with the last changes.

Anyone knows how to fix it, please,

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi,

The reason you are seeing the changes after signing in is because WP Super Cache does not show any cached content to signed in users.

I’m not sure why they haven’t cleared them selves out, what you could do is drop by the settings page (/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wpsupercache) and use the Delete Cache button there, that should rebuild the cache the next time a visitor comes by your site, and thus updating the content for everyone.

    Hello Marius,

Thanks for your reply and help,

The problem is still on even when I desactivated the plugin Wpsupercache.

    So I reactivated it.

I went to the plesk, and went to the page /wp-admin/options-general.php?

However nothing about wpsupercache on this page.

Our students can see our updates on their mobile phone, but not on their computer. We are a language school.

What else could it be? Thank you.

    Hi,

Did you copy the full URL, the example you are showing in the last post is unfortunately not identical to the URL I suggested.

Also, cache plugins can’t just be disabled, they require you to manually remove files (the plugin details page has detailed instructions about this).

    Hi Marius,

Once again thanks a lot for your help,

I deleted the cache from the URL you sent me, however it didn’t work.

But I went to plugin details as you suggested me, and I did this :

How do I delete the Super Cache rules from the .htaccess file?
Load your desktop ftp client and connect to your site. You may need to enable “Show hidden files” in the preferences of the ftp client. Navigate to the root of your site where you’ll find the .htaccess file. Download that file and edit it in a text editor. Delete the lines between “# BEGIN WPSuperCache” and “# END WPSuperCache” and save the file. Now upload it, overwriting the .htaccess file on your server.

It seems to work now, can see the last updates without login in the dashboard.

    Have a good day
