UPDATE: http://sexforsmartpeople.com/?post_type=podcast is displaying correctly, but http://sexforsmartpeople.com/podcast is not a real page. Just an index.

I changed the link in my nav-bar, but obviously would love to use the “/podcast/” page because it’s much simpler.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Hi Max,

My assumption (and I’m pretty sure I’m correct) is that you have a folder called podcast on your server in which you are storing all of your episode MP3 files. Am I correct?

In that case, what’s happening is that the folder is taking precedence over the permalink setting in your WordPress site and it is loading the content of that folder instead of your podcast archive.

You can solve this in one of two ways:

    1. You can change the folder name to something that doesn’t conflict, but then you will need to edit the audio file URL as it is saved on each episode.
    2. You can change the podcast archive URL slug to be something other than podcast by using the snippet here.

It’s up to you which one you prefer to use 🙂

    Cheers,
    Hugh
