Hi, Our plugins are not affected by this. So don’t panic. You can ignore this message.

You can ignore any PayPal IPN changes email that you may have received.

Our plugins are always kept upto date. You will always have access to a fully working version of the plugin that just works.

You don’t need to make any changes. This plugin will continue to work.

When will we know for sure? When is the roll-out for these Paypal changes?

@mikeboas you can read more about the changes here. But as @mra13 pointed out this plugin will keep on working without any problems.

As of right now we are already using the latest code provided by PayPal for IPN validation. So there should be no change needed in this plugin.

    Hello

I received a Paypal notice today that says that my site has been checked and that the “IPN Verification Postback to HTTPS” requires a change.

    The email said:
“There are six areas that our security upgrades will impact and we’ve identified the areas that need your attention. The chart below shows whether you will need to make changes, or if your business is already compliant or does not use that functionality.”

The Five other sections have been passed as OK, but not that one.

They have however, changed the deadline from 30 September 2016 to 30 June 2017. This allows more time for the change.

@abcdiamond what is the URL you have entered in your PayPal IPN settings?

    Hi

I am trying to find the PayPal IPN settings area now, but can’t locate anything. It has been some time since I set it up.

@abcdiamond please read the following documentation.

    Thank you

    Thanks for that.

It seems mine is not easy.

    Where it says:
Instant payment notifications click on Update link. This will allow you to edit the settings.

    I don’t have that option.

Your instructions show the options for ‘Getting paid and managing my risk’ as:

    My Automatic Payments
    Instant Payment Notifications
    Block payments
    Customer Service Message

    Mine only has:
    Block payments

But at least now I know where the problem is, and it’s in Paypal, not your plugin.

Thank you for reporting back. I am happy to hear that you have found out where your problem lies. I am sure PayPal support will be able to assist you further.

    Kind regards

So just to be clear, we SHOULD be using IPN settings in PayPal, correct?

And if so, the URL that we should put there is the thank you page URL after purchase?

    Many thanks!

@terry you can put your website URL if you want.
