Hi everyone,

My site automatically upgraded to version 4.3.1 in the past 48 hours and now when I log in to my WordPress dashboard, all formatting is gone and I just have overlapping text. You can see what I am talking about here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/45627087@N02/21292427559/in/dateposted-public/

I am not using Chrome so I don’t think the known Chrome issue is the problem.

I have also tried deactivating all of my plugins, clearing my browser cache and re-starting my computer as per older forum suggestions, but this has not resolved the issue.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Thanks in advance!
Nina

• Hi,

Go to http://wordpress.org > download latest version > reupload core files to your server (/wp-admin/ & /wp-includes/ )

Thanks mcfreder – is that as simple as transferring those two files via FTP or is it more complex? Or are there some step-by-step instructions I can follow? I am not that savvy make changes in the back-end.

RESOLVED

1. Log in to WP dashboard, then increased the screen size so it is massive (this way you don’t get all of that overlapping text and can see all of the components of your dashboard better)
2. Go to Dashboard, then Updates
3. Click the WP “Re-install now” button and let it do its thing.
4. Clear browser cache
5. Re-start computer
6. Log back in to WP admin and HOPEFULLY all will be resolved!

I have the same problem – formatting being lost. I’ve even followed the advice in the previous post, reinstalling WP 4.3.1 to no avail.

I worked for hours and hours today reformatting my posts on two critical (member only) pages, and did it in text mode even, putting

around each and every paragraph to protect the basic format. And even that was lost.

VERY frustrating to lose so many hours of duplicated work, and now have the page virtually unreadable for active members.

WordPress 4.3.1
Theme: Divi 2.5.5

The pages in question are under user/pw membership so I can show a link to them.

So, I would say the issue is NOT RESOLVED. Any more suggestions out there, until WP comes up with a bug fix?
