Excessive Backups and Line 214 Errors

    I have been having a problem on a single site installation where its making a backup EVERY 5 minutes and it has generated over 2k in files and no matter what I do, I can’t get it to stop doing that.

    In addition, it is now causing a problem when the site tries to load by throwing this error constantly:

    Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 31719424) (tried to allocate 5258136 bytes) in /…/plugins/better-wp-security/core/modules/backup/class-itsec-backup.php on line 214

    I know a lot of people have been having this problem and yet the plugin developers have been mum on the subject and nothing has been done to resolve this, what is going on?
