    Wordfence does not use .htaccess to block access to most directories (except blocking code from running in the uploads directory, if that option is enabled) — blocking some directories or files can often break other plugins, themes, or some core functions.

    Wordfence does block access from IP addresses that try to log in or have certain other suspicious activity, including activity on other sites in the Wordfence security network. More details on all of the features are available on our web site:
