  • @pondyart, a simple step would be to use a .htaccess file to protect your images. There are thousand of steps out there. Here is a quick generator to create htaccess: http://www.htaccesstools.com/hotlink-protection/

Do you mean you’re trying to keep visitors of your site from copying your images? Pretty much impossible. You can install any one of several plugins, and that will deter the casual user, but anyone who knows their way around web design will be able to circumvent that. Visitors can do a view source or open a web page inspector on a web page and directly display the image, for example. Or they can go into the browser cache and get the image from there, i.e., anytime a site is visited, the browser stores everything in a local cache, and there are plenty of utilities that will let you grab an image from your browser’s cache. There are also lots of screen capture utilities that captures the image as it is displayed on the screen. So, in short, you can install a plugin that makes it more difficult for the casual user to save a copy of your images, but for someone who is determined, there are multiple ways of getting around those obstacles.

@crouchingbruin is right… but you can try a couple of things although there is no one guaranteed solution.

    Thank you for your suggestions.

This is a bit too sophisticated for my knowledge of programming.

After trying a plugin or two – I gave up and removed the images.
