• Hi,

I’m trying to setup the plugin to work with multisite to get an insight into my entire network of sites.

E.g. I’d be able to see
    a) total traffic across entire network (site A + site B + site C etc = total)
    b) traffic for site A
    c) traffic for site B
    d) etc

I’ve got a separate setup to give clients access to their own Google analytics but wanted to be able to see it from a global network perspective.

I can setup Google analytics for my root site but it wont track for other sites in the network, just that one so it’s being treated as it’s own website.

Any advice? Can’t seem to find any relevant options in network admin.

    Thanks,

    Adam

Found by clicking Settings in Network Admin. Hadn’t found it on a few initial sweeps. My bad!

However, once linking the profile from network settings it seems like I can only setup options for my root site and not others. Am I missing something?

The normal Settings -> Better Analytics options should be fully available for each site within a multi-site setup. Are you not seeing those options?

    Hi. From your FAQ:

Does Better Google Analytics Support A WordPress Multisite Network?
Yes, you can install the Better Google Analytics plugin for a single site in the network or for all sites in the network. Additionally, you can optionally link a single Google Analytics account for all sites in the network (or you can link unique Google Analytics accounts for each site in the network… either way, it’s up to you).

This is what I’d like to do. Where is the settings page to allow me to do this? I’ve linked my Analytics account in Network Settings, but I’m not seeing Better Analytics amongst the options in the network admin page.

    Thanks,
    Dave

The settings for individual sites are in the normal Settings area for each site (each site will have a different web property and in most cases, different settings set for them). I can’t think of a case where you would have multiple sites all with the exact same settings (like the same Google Analytics reporting web property).

You can find the site-specific settings under WP-Admin -> Settings -> Better Analytics

I’d suggest removing that line from the FAQ then, if it’s not possible to do.

All of my sites are under the same banner, with individual teams running the separate subsites (domain.com/TeamA). I wanted all of the stats together on one page, to find out the percentage of pageviews that each subsite gets.

It is possible to do. You link your Google Analytics account under the multi-site settings. Maybe you are thinking a Google Analytics account means a single Google Analytics web property?

Which you still can do that if you wish… there’s nothing preventing you from using the same profile ID for multiple sites (which would then report everything into a single Google Analytics web property).
