• I am having two different error messages show up on my site.

Warning: mysqli_set_charset(): Error executing query in /webroot/t/r/******/**********/www/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 773

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /webroot/t/r/******/************/www/wp-includes/wp-db.php:773) in /webroot/t/r/******/**********/www/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1207

This message will lock out the back view and front view of my site.
The message will go away after 10 or 15 minutes (Sometimes longer) and my site will return to normal.

I have checked to see if I have any white space in these locations and I do not. I do not see any other problem with the code either. I just does not make sense how it will lock everything down for a time then start back working on its own.

  • Did you ever figure this out? I just came across the same type of issue. I get locked out of my site for an hour before it comes back up. Just curious who your host is. Mine is StartLogic.

I’ve noticed some hosts have query request limits within a period of time – I encountered this issue with a client on Netfirms just recently. Not sure if anything but switching the host is the solution if you have an active site.

That’s what I don’t understand. My client’s site isn’t that active. I’ve been updating several pages very quickly and that seems to be setting it off after about 30-40 minutes of working. It just seems crazy that something as minor as page and post updates could cause this. I also noticed that the pages of the site load pretty slowly. I’ve never encountered anything like this is the about 10 years I’ve been working with WordPress sites.

    Hello !
This is caused basically due to limited number of queries/hour in your hosting plan !
You can resolve this problem on tables ->emporary basis by Visit MySql Page -> Select all tables -> And then optimize all tables .
Although if you want this problem to be permanently removed upgrade to WP hosting or VPS or Cloud .
    Thanks!
