• So I have the theme ‘Real Expert’ installed and have created a child theme to go along with it. The theme can be found here: http://bit.ly/1NqnYPt

These are the following plugins I have activated:
    – Contact Form 7
    – EWWW Image Optimizer
    – MAYO Login Screen
    – W3 Total Cache
    – Wordfence Security
    – Yoast SEO

The problem I’m having is certain buttons in the standard wordpress post view are not working. For example, when I am creating a post or editing content on a page the ‘Add Media’ button does nothing. I can click it a hundred times and it won’t do a thing. The same goes for adding, say, a hyperlink in the text.

Also, some plugins will not work properly either such as the EWWW Image Optimizer.

I have gone through and disabled all the plugins, yet it doesn’t help at all. The only thing that brings everything back to normal is switching to the default 2015 theme included, so I assume it has to be something with the theme. Unfortunately the theme’s support appears to be outsourced, with English not as their first language and they’re not able to understand the problem.

The only things I have changed with the domain and the files within the document root of my hosting account are setting up things to gzip, and adjusting the expiration times of static documents in the .htaccess. I also set up a robots.txt, but that shouldn’t affect anything.

    Any help?

  • Hi there,

Sorry to hear you’re having problems with the theme. Unfortunately the wordpress.org forum policies don’t allow the support of commercial products here. You’ll need to take this issue up with the developer.
