I cant seem to figure out how to export my events from one site so I can import to a second. Currently I have to manually recreate each event and the import function would be very helpful.

Even more helpful would be an auto event import similar to how WPeMatico works by pulling the rss feed and syndicating the post. Has anyone come across a way of doing this?

  • Hey @dave.nieves,

If you use the “official” WordPress exporter and importer plugins, you should be able to transfer content between sites without issue. To do that, you’d use the “exporter” and export EACH of the events post types: this means events, organizers, and venues.

Then you’d import each of those files to your new site, starting with events.

    I hope that helps!

I am hoping that I am not bumping here. If so I am sorry. I am using the same theme on the primary domain and the subdomain.

The “event” posting is allowed on the Primary domain.

I wish to sell the tickets to event off of the subdomain. Why? Because the one framework does not play nice with the ticket and bookings plugin.

Is there a way to have the primary domain posted events automatically post to the subdomain events?

For illustration purposes. On the primary domain event posting we can have a “Ticket” information html instruction area in the event posting form. In the form the user would instruct the event posting user to the sub-domain to set up the tickets and bookings.

I guess I just do not want the ticket purchaser to have to create two login creds when wanting go to the subdomain to set up ticking services.
