Support » Plugin: AdRotate Banner Manager - The only ad manager you'll need » Tracking Impressions on Google Adsense Ads

  • I am seeing all zeros next to my Google Adsense Ads. I recognize it is difficult to track click-through on dynamics tags, however it I should very well be able to see how many times this tag is called by my site, right?

Can anyone tell me how to set this up?

    Thanks so much guys,
    Mike

AdSense adverts currently are not tracked by AdRotate (Pro).
I’m looking into a way to count impressions for a future version.

Arnan, thanks very much for that. Why does it matter what ad code is in there? That shouldn’t affect that impression tracking, right? No matter what is called and showed should count as one impression…no?

Is there a way I can hack it, maybe by creating another ad unit that is just a 1*1 pixel, and putting that ad tag inside my Google Adsense tags, can i nest them like that. Just trying to think of a solution? And also help you brainstorm a nice easy way to do it in the next release.

Impressions are generally tracked as adverts are loaded, not during runtime.
If you use a dynamic group, impressions have to be tracked during runtime. There is a trigger for that in the dyngroup.js file.

As such there is no need for tracking pixels. But where required, AdRotate does include a tracking pixel already – Mainly if you track stats with Google Analytics or Piwik (AdRotate Pro).
