Why The WordPress Team wants left alignment?

    Hi,

    I seem to see on the forum and on Google, more subjects to center the theme Twenty Fourteen, I wonder why The WordPress Team decided that the topic should be aligned to the left and not be centered?
    I do not see the point to stick left.
