I have several tables, each one with over 5000 rows and growing with frequent additions. As you can imagine, they are nearly impossible to edit in the admin view.

I discovered quickly that creating paging in the admin view truncates my data to only the records displayed. It looks like you’re sending all data on the page via ajax to rewrite the post_content field. Has anyone considered a way to add paging to the admin view? I’m considering ways to go about it, but they seem problematic.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

No, sorry, I’m not aware of a solution for paging on the admin screen, for the reason that you mention: When saving, the full table is required at the moment.
I do have ideas to re-work the “Edit” screen to make it work with larger tables, but that’s still going to take some time.

Meanwhile, the best approach for large tables probably is to edit those e.g. in Excel and then import a CSV file, choosing to replace the existing table.

Sorry for not having better news here.

    Regards,
    Tobias
