Change my domain's directory

Hi everyone!!!

My wordpress site is hosted at ROOT/apples/

I already have my site running but in the address bar my site shows as http://www.apples.com/apples/ when i visit my site.

Now I would like to point my domain to /apples/ instead of ROOT/ so when I type http://www.apples.com it would show my site.

Now my question: If I do change my domain to point in that folder. Would wordpress break? I am worried for that. Please advice.
