• About half of the time the search results will come up with the page background color missing, causing the headlines to become invisible. They are the same color as the body background which is left in place of the white page background. The site is here. One word that comes up with the missing background is ‘yoga’ and a word that seems to come up correctly is ‘posture’.

The forums point toward a clear class set to ‘both’, which is present in the code. Why this would be a word-specific intermittent problem is as much a mystery as what is causing it at all. I have checked with the theme authors and they say it’s not the theme. The site is a few years old and it didn’t used to do this. I’m not sure how long it has been going on, but it probably tracks back to one of the core updates earlier this year.

  • are you using some code or plugin to keep some of the formatting in the excerpts?

Thank you for the response Michael. Apologies for the delay.

Yes, the plugin is Advanced Excerpt. It has been there since the site was launched. What is it about excerpts that could cause something like this?
