Moderation Notification and Facebook Business Page

    Hello Alex,

    Wondering if you could shed some light on these two questions about the Facebook API:

    (1). When a comment is left and sent to Facebook Moderation tab for a moderator to approve – should there be a notification from facebook about the pending comment? If so where does it get sent to? Facebook personal profile notification? We are getting comments but no notifications? Currently manually checking the moderation tab from Facebook to approve comments.

    (2). Is there an easy way to switch profiles from personal to business page when replying to comments? i.e. directly from the plugin?

    Currently what we do is login to facebook, visit our company or business page, select “Use Facebook as Company Page” then go back to our website to reply to the comment. This works as it picks up the company profile and not the personal profile. After the comment is left, we then go back to facebook and revert back to personal account.

    Is there a way to select the page/business from the plugin directly before replying to a comment. As we dont want staff using their own personal accounts for the replies.

    FYI With part 1: Just some further reading, this may be a known issue with Facebook and the lack of notifications. only thing to make sure is to add your name to the “Settings” > “moderators” inside the Facebook Moderation App. Not the plugin on wordpress. You also need notifications turned on your personal facebook account to receive the notification.

    1) Make sure you add yourself as moderator as well as admin of the app and you should get FB notifications in your personal profile on Facebook. Your FYI post is correct and technically has nothing to do with the plugin itself.

    2) Yes, there’s an option near the button to submit the comment as to what profile you want to use to submit it.
