Gallery isn't working.

    Hi,

    Thanks for a lovely good looking theme. I love everything about it and experience one problem so far.

    All my pages and posts which contain gallery get this error message.
    “Jetpack’s Carousel has been disabled, because another plugin or your theme is overriding the [gallery] shortcode.”

    I have huge it portfolio installed but the shortcode isn’t [gallery]. Anyway I tried deactivate it and the error message is still there.

    I also found that jetpack contact form doesn’t work on my website if they are related in anyway.

    Have you tried deactivating all of your plugins except for Jetpack to see if the problem goes away? I haven’t had any problems getting Jetpack’s gallery to work.

    Yes I’ve tried that. Thanks.
    What I actually want is a simple 3 column tiles that display my images in a tidy way. I don’t really mind not having gallery or slide show. I tried deactivate carousel and the problem is still there.

    Hi ArielS, I was experiencing a similar issue as you. Just wanted a straight up gallery and not the slider. Sugar and Spice theme was overriding gallery shortcode.
    BUT, reading through the other gallery threads I figured out a workaround: Install and activate JetPack, create a gallery in your media library and insert it in your page. Then add parameters to your shortcode, so it looks like this (with your values entered between quotes):[gallery ids="" size="" columns="" type=""]. You MUST have the “type” defined or it won’t work. type can equal “circle”, “square” or “rectangle”.
