Email Links to Icons

I have a user list that includes a large amount of contact information for each user. In particular multiple emails per user. It would be really handy if I could replace each email with an icon instead of displaying the whole data stored in that particular field. Is this possible?

I’ve been able to use the before and after columns to insert my Font Awesome icon successfully but I’m really trying to save of horizontal space on the front end.
