If you select the colorize widgets option in the settings, then categories in the Venue widget will be colorized.

Hi there! I am not sure I understood correctly, could you give me more information please?
At the moment when I go to Events > Settings > Category Colors
I just see a whole list and I cannot choose between Venues or Categories. Actually I think they are all Categories and not Venues.
To be clear, only event categories are associated with class selectors that can have CSS applied and therefore have coloring. Venues do not have specific class selectors. These class selectors are applied by the core Events Calendar plugin.
If you are displaying the Venue widget ,and have selected the Category Colors option to colorize widgets, any events in this widget view that have categories assigned and colored will display that color.
I cannot colorize Venue, only Categories. I hope this makes sense.
