Whoa there friend. You do know that has NOTHING to do with either me or this plugin? The plugin uses data from the Open Exchange Rates site – it’s free but you can purchase premium options. You don’t need anything but the freebie option to use this plugin and it (and I) are totally not linked in anyway.

Therefore a review of the actual plugin and its functionality, rather than this third party website would be appreciated. It’s kind of like reviewing Gmail badly because you didn’t like the content of one of your emails 🙂

They have a tendency to hide the free option but you can find it here…

    Hi David,
thanks for your answer, yes with the free option it is working fine.

    But :
If you’ve donated, tick here to remove the adverts.

this is not very nice too.

But yes this plugin do is job

Thanks for updating your score – it’s appreciated.

I’ll be honest with you about the adverts – I was trying to monetise the plugin as donations were very few and far between. However, I wanted the adverts to go if people had donated so gave them the option – there’s nothing to stop you ticking that box even if you hadn’t. Just bad karma 🙂 As for whether it’s very nice, that’s a personal thing. Personally, I don’t mind such a thing although I do find some advertising pretty annoying – at least mine were discretely placed banner ads!

However, the advertising made, rounded up, $0. so I’m now in the process of removing it from my plugins – this plugin hasn’t been done yet as there’s quite a few things I need to change and generally polish. Expect in the next release, though, for this to go.

Hey, guess what noxos? It’s done and uploaded. Feel free to install version 1.3. The ads are gone and I’ve made it a lot clearer that the sign-up for the API is free.

Let me know if you have any feedback.

Hey, founder of Open Exchange Rates here – just wanted to jump in and let you know we’re launching a brand new site in the next month, that will make it far easier to locate the Free plan, to enable as many users as possible to benefit from our service…

David, thanks for clarifying in your plugin that we offer a free service – and thanks for a great plugin!
