• I will try to be general and brief. Using a page tree management system. First page X has 6 coverboxes each with a photo, excerpt and link to a separate page. Those separate pages were made and in the tree they were kept as subitems of X. When individual page is viewed on site, the breadcrumbs look like: Home > X > separate page. Normal. I am working on navigation. Putting X and separate pages in menu is redundant and could confuse viewers so i just put the separate pages and deleted page X. No matter what I do, the breadcrumbs still show the same tree even though X is deleted. Looking at the permalink on edit, you can not get rid of X. Any ideas how breadcrumbs can follow the navigation and not the original page hierarchy? Thanks

  • Go to your admin panel.
    Click on “Permalinks”.

Take note of your current permalink structure.
Now, change it to something different, and save.
Then, change it back to what it was originally, and save again.

    Check your breadcrumbs now.

Hello Josh from Miami. Did exactly what you said but still the same. If I could send several screenshots, that would work but do not see that facility here. Thing is, on page edit, you can change the pretty permalink to whatever but not what is before it. In this case page X!
Any other thoughts? If not, I thank you for trying.
